Blood swept lands and seas of red

On Tuesday and Wednesday, children in Class Four went on a day visit to London, as part of their study of London this term. The most stunning sight were the poppies at the Tower of London - over 888,000 of them, representing each life lost in the First World War. They were an incredibly moving sight and some of the children have written some poetry when they were back in school, which will accompany our Remembrance display after half-term.

  1. Thankyou to all involved in taking the children to London. Charlie had a fantastic day, especially seeing the poppies at the tower of London - once in a lifetime experience he keeps telling me! & getting to experience the 21 gun salute. Thank you again.
