Canoeing

The canoeing was also popular with the children - especially the jumping in the water and getting wet! Under expert instruction, the children worked as a team of four in their canoes to steer their boats down the small river which flows through the site. They learned how to paddle forwards and backwards and to turn their canoes round in circles. It was a great activity in the sunshine, although they certainly needed the showers afterwards!
