Abseiling

The abseiling tower was a real challenge to everyone, especially those who felt afraid of heights. The wooden tower was accessed by a ladder and internal wooden steps, and these seemed to be more scary than the abseil down the outside! Almost all children gathered their courage and had a go. The instructors were fantastic at encouragement and building confidence, while respecting the fears of those who found it difficult. The children also helped each other by shouting encouraging comments and acknowledging when others had pushed themselves to their limit.
